Join us on June 8th, 2025 for yoga & cider, guided by Ellen Goldlust. Live Music in the Orchard: Michael ClemLive Music in the Orchard: Michael Clem
Come grab a glass of cider and Join us in the Orchard room For the Magical, the magnificent, miraculous Michael Clem. local singer-songwriter Michael Clem has managed to continue his life as a full-time musician for several decades. For 31 years, Clem has been playing bass, singing and writing songs for the national touring act he co-founded. “A songwriter, a guitarist and observational comedian… Think Blink-182 with words by Todd Snider and you get an idea of what Clem does within the confines of folk-rock.” –The Washington Post “A multi-dimensional performer, Michael Clem’s songs touch universal human conditions that expose our doubts without ever being preachy. His dry and sly wit and clever arrangements soothe the soul but include a social commentary bite that encourages us not to take our lives too seriously.” -Aer Stephen

The Blue Ridge irish Music School musical duo.The Blue Ridge irish Music School musical duo.
The Blue Ridge irish Music School presents: John Doyle & Mike McGoldrick
$30/Advance, $35/at the door Ticket link brimstunes.org John Doyle and Mike McGoldrick, together, represent the finest musicians performing in traditional Irish music today. Born in Manchester, UK, of Irish parents, Mike has been a road warrior since his teen years, and most notably distinguished himself in the top shelf bands, Lúnasa and Capercaillie. With his powerful and yet subtle flute, whistles and uillean pipes, Mike has performed all over Europe, the US, Canada and worldwide with Kate Rusby, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, and like John is a regular for many years with the Transatlantic Sessions at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow. John likewise has been a professional since a teenager when he hit the road with Seamus Egan and Joanie Madden; he then went on along with Seamus to found the groundbreaking Irish American band, Solas. He has since forged a formidable solo career as producer, musician, songwriter and singer. John's signature percussive and emotive finger picking has been the choice on over 150 recordings of traditional Irish, bluegrass, old time, English folk and Americana with everyone from Eric Clapton to Tim O'Brien, Kate Rusby, Alison Brown, Liz Carroll, Linda Thompson, and a very long list of luminaries in folk music. John and Mike individually are the very best in each of their respective instruments; collectively they are a powerhouse and truly not to be missed.
