Tasting Notes
Winecrisp is a gorgeous, deeply red apple, with a sweet and complex flavor bolstered by mild acidity. This apple was developed by the PRI apple breeding program (Purdue, Rutgers, and Illinois Universities), and is also known as Co-op 31. Its parentage includes Rome Beauty, Jonathan, and Cox's Orange Pippin.
Ripens in mid to late September in central Virginia.
