Jim Pile Pear is a large, disease-resistant European style pear, easily grown with delicious, sweet, buttery flesh. Our friend, Jim Pile, found this tree at an old home site in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and recommended it to us. We think it is promising and propagated it in 2002. It ripens in mid-autumn.
