CHECKOUT THIS WEEK'S MENU Sangrias will be available for purchase by the glass all day or until we sell out! 11:00 am to 5:00 pm						Grafting Workshop Grafting Workshop Since apples do not reproduce true from seed, propagation depends on grafting the desired variety onto a reliable rootstock. Expert hands-on instruction by the Vintage Virginia Apples staff will introduce you to the fine art of grafting. Each participant will graft two trees from a choice of scionwood from the Vintage Virginia Apples collection to take home with them. Extra rootstock will be available for sale after this workshop. If you have them, feel free to bring a pair of handheld pruners and a grafting knife. If you do not have these tools, there will be several available during the class to practice with or you can purchase your own when you arrive. It's time to become the master of your Orchard! It’s time for our first, annual Cider Saunter! The best part? You won’t even have to leave the Orchard. It’s time to dig out those walking shoes and join us on Saturday, March 19th for this ONE-DAY, exclusive event. Power walk, strut, run, or saunter your way around the Orchard and Cidery to 4 different tasting locations. By the time you’re finished, you will have sipped each of the top four ciders selected by popular vote during Cider Madness. Now it’s time to vote for our Best in Show Cider! When the hunger kicks in, grab a bite from Raclette on the Run and then it’s on to your next glass. Jon Spear and Dara James – also known as Old Soul – are a pair of award-winning singer/songwriters who use their formidable guitar, harmonica, and vocal skills to perform a variety of songs in the blues, folk, and classic rock genres along with, of course, original songs. In 2019 the pair competed in the prestigious 35th International Blues Challenge in Memphis where they were semi-finalists. The Livingroom is a 5-piece combo out of Appomattox County in Virginia. They play an eclectic blend of music from the 40s to the 2000s. They cover many bands from the Beatles and The Rolling Stones to Frank Sinatra, Tom Petty and REM. You might even be lucky enough to hear some original material as well! Members include Bryan Baine on drums, Joshua Kennedy on bass, Rockin’ Debbie Rush on keys, Bonnie Swanson on accordion and percussion, and Ken Swanson on Guitar. Everybody joins in on vocals in collective harmonies. Don’t be surprised if there is a little theater at a performance as “Mrs. Pinch” the ruthless Landlady, sometimes shows up to try and collect the rent! Join us Sundays at 9:45 am for Yoga in the Orchard taught by Joanna Hughes of Batesville. Meet Your Instructor Joanna is a registered nurse who has been practicing yoga for 27 years. She has completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training and has recently combined her knowledge of yoga and nursing in her pursuit to become a health and wellness counselor.
